Roscosmos is preparing to launch a new crew to the Space Station aboard Soyuz MS-25 on March 21st, 2024, at 8:21 am CDT from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
NASA will provide coverage of launch activities on its website, NASA+, NASA TV, and the NASA YouTube channel beginning at 7:20 am CDT.
The international crew flying onboard Soyuz MS-25 includes NASA astronaut Tracy Dyson, Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Novitskiy, and spaceflight participant Marina Vasilevskaya of Belarus. They will join the Expedition 70 crew already working on the Space Station.
Following a successful launch the Soyuz will rendezvous with the International Space Station later today following a quick two-orbit journey. Rendezvous with the International Space Station is expected to happen at around 10:30 am CDT, with docking occurring at approximately 11:39 am CDT.
NASA’s live coverage on NASA TV will return at 1:50 pm CDT for the hatch opening between the two vehicles, as well as the welcome ceremony.
NASA astronaut Tracy Dyson will live and work on the International Space Station for six months as part of Expedition 70 and 71. Her crewmates, Novitskiy and Vasilevskaya will remain at the ISS for a short twelve day mission before returning to Earth in Soyuz MS-24.
