In preparation for Boeing’s Crew Flight Test of the Starliner spacecraft, ULA rolled its Atlas V rocket to SLC-41 at Cape Canaveral on Saturday, May 4th. NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore are scheduled to launch to the International Space Station in the spacecraft, named Calypso, on Monday, May 6th at 9:34 pm CST.
Following first motion at 9:10 am CST, the Atlas V rocket was pulled on the mobile launch platform to the launchpad by two rail cars. Once it reached the launchpad, operations resumed to ready the rocket and spacecraft for launch. By the next afternoon, the Starliner crew access arm could be seen attached to the spacecraft.
